Introduction to Air Cargo (AC1)
This five-day programme is designed for new entrants to the cargo industry and will be of particular interest to those employed in freight forwarding, airlines, cargo handling or the shipping departments of exporters.
This course is designed for anyone involved in air cargo.
The programme has two elements which may be taken individually or together. The first part of the course (3 days) concentrates on the procedures and operation of the air cargo industry. The second part of the course (2 days) covers the calculation of rates and charges and completion of the air waybill. Each part of the course culminates in an examination (passmark 80%).
Successful completion of this course is recognised by IATA / FIATA as demonstrating competence in respect of registration of forwarding agents under the European Air Cargo Programme (EACP).
