Entries are open to BIFA full trading or probationary member companies only. For the Young Freight Forwarder Award, entries are open to individuals working for BIFA full trading or probationary member companies only.
Companies may enter a maximum of three 'General/Modal/Specialist Awards' categories only.
A company may compete only once in each category entered, with the exception of the Young Freight Forwarder and Apprentice of the Year Awards, where an unlimited number of individuals from the same company may be put forward.
All finalists must be present at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 21st January 2021 at the Brewery, London EC1.
The judging panels’ decisions are final.
All finalists and Award winners, excluding those for the Young Freight Forwarder and Apprentice of the Year Awards, will receive a BIFA Finalist 2020 logo, or BIFA Winner 2020 logo, and may state their achievement in promotional material for up to, but not exceeding, five years from the date of presentation.
Apprentivce of the Year candidates must either be currently undertaking, or have completed in the past two years, a professionally recognised apprenticeship framework, or standard in logistics, or freight forwarding.
Entries can be at any apprenticeship level. If undertaking an apprenticeship, the candidate must have completed at least 8 months within the last 12 months (since February 1st 2020).
For the Young Freight Forwarder Award, entrants must be under the age of 32 on 31 December 2020 and have a minimum of two years’ working experience in the industry.
For the Young Freight Forwarder category, the winner must agree to be nominated to take part as the UK candidate in the FIATA/TT Club Young International Freight Forwarder of the Year Award in 2020.
