Young Forwarder Network (YFN)

Young Forwarder Network - Supporting career development, improving industry knowledge and shaping the future.

Young _Forwarder _Network

If you’re new to the industry and keen to develop your knowledge and professional skills, in a more social environment, BIFA’s Young Forwarder Network (YFN) could provide the perfect opportunity.

Consisting of several regional networking groups, the scheme provides members with the chance to network with their peers, learn from industry professionals and boost their continuous professional development.

Membership is free and open to any employee of a BIFA Member. All apprentices completing the International Freight Forwarding standard will automatically be enrolled.

All groups are managed by a chair and vice-chair and are supported by at least two regional employers, who will be responsible for the budget along with a BIFA representative.

Overview / Mission

BIFA’s YFN enables participants to enhance their career prospects by providing opportunities to support their professional development through exclusive events, boosting knowledge, sharing skills, advice and experiences from industry professionals and providing visits to places of industry interest.

The network is committed to promoting the logistics and forwarding sector as an exciting career choice and BIFA members are encouraged and supported to inspire the next generation within their local communities.

Being part of BIFA’s YFN will:

  • boost your industry knowledge
  • support your personal network development
  • share skills and experiences from industry professionals
  • provide exclusive opportunities to visit places of industry interest
  • inspire you and your company to promote the logistics and forwarding sector to the next generation
