IATA Covid-19 Information - Online access
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) have released (Friday) a publicly accessible page to list airlines, and their operational status when it comes to air cargo.
IATA are monitoring airlines’ websites on one hand, and also obtaining information directly from their airline sources already contributing to TACT.
The output is a comprehensive list, updated twice a day, with the latest information available per airline. As you know, it is quite difficult to keep pace with all the changes happening (routes cancelled; fleet repurposed for cargo; products and services changes), and they will do their best over the coming days & weeks to support the following objectives:
- Inform the air cargo community worldwide of the current airline operations,
- Support IATA airline members to disseminate the right information about the air cargo operations, and reach as quick as possible their markets,
- Reduce costs of IATA airline members customer service operations, by being the source of reference & first point of entry for freight forwarders (effective outsourcing of part of their CS related activities to IATA)
- Support return to service operations, If you are interacting with airlines in your respective region/market, you can direct them to this email address firstname.lastname@example.org if they wish to share the latest updates.
IATA will also separately have updates done to their country pages within TACT.
