The joint trade mission is to promote the two ports and the wider Flanders region as an international maritime gateway for trade, both for the main European market but also for global trade, they also wish to collaborate with the UK network on key issues including decarbonisation, fuel transition, digitalisation and skills.

The UK is one of Flanders’ largest maritime trade partners, with more than 32 million tons of cargo shipped per year between the Ports of Antwerp, Zeebrugge, and their British counterparts. Both ports and their port communities are looking forward to visiting the UK again, to showcase why they remain your reliable business partners.

Through the development of our mutual shortsea & RoRo connections, the Ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge can offer you a sustainable, dependable, and on-time alternative to road haulage.

We will also discuss the upcoming merger between both ports. Together, we’ll look ahead and explore opportunities which can benefit us all. The Ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge provide a welcome environment for cutting-edge developments in energy transition. We look forward to discussing our ideas with you.
