Member Request - Port of Liverpool Research Project
The Lancaster Environment Centre, based at Lancaster University is appealing to BIFA Members for their support with their short research project running until the end of June.
The University is trying to understand the current challenges faced by haulage/freight businesses, focusing on traffic in/out of the Port of Liverpool to give it some specific place and infrastructural focus.
The aim is to provide new ideas and analysis that will help the industry and all its stakeholders address current challenges and move forwards with cutting climate emissions, not just for this locality, buts also nationally.
Following conversations with Alex Gough at the Centre, their main focus is to involve individuals and operators with practical experience of using the Port in order to ensure that workable and pragmatic solutions are formulated.
If anyone feels that they can support this work, please read the attached correspondence which gives much more information on the research and Alex’s contact details.
