CHIEF and GVMS Downtime - Sat 19th and Sun 20th Feb
HMRC will be updating the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS), the Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS) and the Customs Handling of Import Export Freight (CHIEF) service this coming weekend.
GVMS and NCTS Downtime:
- Saturday 19 February 2022 10pm to 1am Sunday 20 February 2022
GVMS Haulier actions to take:
- You will not be able to add (transit movements) Transit Accompanying Document (TAD) Movement Reference Number (MRNs) to your Goods Movement References (GMRs) between 10pm to 11:30pm Saturday 19 February 2022
- Between Saturday 19 February 2022 11:30pm to 1am Sunday 20 February 2022 you will not be able to register or use GVMS
- Please ensure you have completed all your GVMS actions outside of the maintenance period and prior to arriving at the port for your journey.
CHIEF Downtime:
- Sunday 20 February 2022 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm
CHIEF / GVMS Haulier actions to take:
- You will not be able to add CHIEF declarations references to a GMR during this period of maintenance. Please ensure you complete all your GVMS actions outside of the maintenance period and prior to arriving at the port for your journey
- We have informed carriers about the steps to take and apologise for any inconvenience caused
