Once the maintenance is completed, declarations submitted in this downtime will be processed.

If you need to complete a goods movement reference during the outages, make sure any Movement Reference Numbers (MRNs) you add have been created by your declarant and released before:

  • 22:00 on 25th June 2022 for NCTS and CHIEF
  • 21:30 on 25th June 2022 for the Customs Declaration Service

Carriers should continue to collect, validate and embark goods movement references for crossings during the period of downtime.

Goods movement references remain mandatory for freight movements using Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS). Hauliers without valid goods movement references will be turned away. You should not turn off goods movement reference validation during this period of downtime.
