CDS VAT Overcharge Update (VAT & Excise)

As you are aware, a recent system update on CDS caused a VAT and Excise duty overcharge on a number of declarations. Further guidance has been released by HMRC for those traders who are still affected.

As you are aware, on the 30th of December a system update on the Customs Declaration Service caused a VAT overcharge issue on a number of declarations. HMRC has provided BIFA with an update on this matter.

Changes to French Import VAT Rules - Effective 1st Jan 2022

There are some significant changes to French VAT law on the 1st January 2022. The management and collection of import VAT in France will be transferred from French Customs (DGDDI) to the French Tax Authority (DGFiP).
